Intern

We are now offering Virtual Internships based on the great success of a similar learning program with our sister publication, GO INSIDE Magazine.

If you are interesting in becoming a David W. Boles' Urban Semiotic Virtual Intern -- and you want to write articles for us and you are a student in high school or college -- we want to hear from you! To see how it feels to be an Author here, please post some Comments first showing us who you are and what makes you think and wonder. That will give you, and us, taste of what to expect from each other.

Not all comments and commenters are approved, so be vigilant and prudent in what you say and how you communicate. We don't care where you live in the world -- we only care about the quality of your writing and the magnitude of your passion.

If you need help coming up with ideas, we will help you sort through your thoughts or even assign you topics to argue. We generally require you write at least 10 ORIGINAL, previously unpublished, articles for us that are at least 1,000 words in length over a period of 10 weeks. We will work with you and your school to get you credit for the hard work you do with us.

When you finish your Internship we guarantee you will have 10 outstanding, lengthy, articles under your belt that you can show to the world as proof of your genius and your sublime effort. If you're still interested in pursuing an internship, please get in touch and tell us the following:

  1. Who Are You?
  2. Why do you want to write with us?
  3. Where can we visit you on the web to verify the history of your identity?
  4. Give us 10 article topics you plan to write for us.
  5. Do you need school credit or not?
  6. Provide a narrative biography.
  7. Give us the highlights of your resume and previous writing experience.
  8. Successfully completing all these steps is your first test.
If we think you're a good fit for our vision, we'll be in touch! Please be aware that we get a lot of internship requests, so if you don't hear from us in a few days, that means were were unable to offer you a position. We look forward to the possibility of writing with you -- and we can even split your internship between both publications if you want a bite in both worlds. We'll work it out with you.
