We require commenters Register with an OpenID service because we value great comments from verified people. You know who we are and we want to know you, too.
NOTE: If you already have an OpenID, use it to login here by FIRST CLICKING ON YOUR OPENID SERVICE ICON on the Sign In page for an article and then filling in your login information before you click the "Sign In" button.

If you have an account on any of the following services -- including TypeKey -- you may go directly to our "Sign In" link found at the end of each article and login to start commenting!
If you don't have an OpenID provider yet, you can go here to get one. Then come back and click on the "Sign In" link at the end of an article and then click on your service to start commenting! If you don't see your exact service listed on our Sign In page, just click on the "Open ID" icon to get started
Don't use the "Movable Type" login option when you Sign In to comment -- that option is now reserved only for staff. We used to accept direct registration but, due to database isues, we discontinued that option in favor of OpenID.
If you can't decide which OpenID service to use, we recommend TypeKey -- because it is owned and operated by Six Apart -- the very folk that brought you Movable Type!
